Since a high school student, I have often found my hands in something that created space for income…without an employer. I was born and raised in the poorest part of the east side of Detroit, MI. I began entrepreneurship at the tender age of 16 as an hair stylist in my mom's house. Then, following hair, I developed this desire to do my own nails which eventually made room for me creatively. I began having many friends and school mates ask, "can you do my nails?" This is what opened a door for me in beauty service. I maintained a spot in the beauty industry for over 15 years. In 2011, I obtained my Esthetician License which led me to opening my very own business Eye For Beauty Studio, in Southfield, MI. I served as Pro Makeup Artist and Esthetician as a first time legit business owner. However, it wasn't so legit. There was so many mistakes made out of ignorance and no sound business guidance. For the sake of saving a few dollars as a new small business, I took many losses and paid a pretty penny. Grateful for my errors, it pushed me to eventually research, study, and enroll in Business Consulting, obtaining my Certification in 2022. Because of my struggles as a entrepreneur, it is my absolute foundation to assist other aspiringor even existing businesses that just need help with business formation.
